Having joined the army at 16 and enjoying five years in the infantry, Adrian decided on a career change and joined the prison service.
For thirty-two years he worked as both Officer and Governor in a number of Her Majesty’s establishments working with every type of criminal from youth offenders to those serving a life tariff. This gave him the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, and a number of these people have formed the basis of the characters in his novels. It also provided him with the knowledge to ensure his descriptive prison scenes are realistic and allows the reader a detailed insight into the British penal system.
Adrian has now retired from the prison service and spends his time living in France and writing. His first three novels are a trilogy of prison-based thrillers and these are followed by crime novels set around the world…but probably involve at least one prison scene.
